Sagai dates are among the local date varieties. They are grown in the Al-Aarid district near Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They ripen in the middle of the growing season and are usually expensive. They can be eaten fresh or dried. Sagai dates are rectangular and oval in shape.
